Celebrate the International Year of Astronomy at the Powerhouse Museum this Spring School Holidays. Visit the From Earth to the Universe and Space exhibitions. Watch Zoe in a show about the stars, try some hands on Astronomy in Cogs’ Workshop or book into a creative workshop.

Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are? You have sung the nursery rhyme but have you actually ever wondered what they are? And how we know they are there. Join our bubbly mascot Zoe as she asks this very question. A live stage show.

5-9 & 12-16 October
Put yourself in this large scale interactive kaleidoscope, and be part of the new way of interacting with computers and images. Designed for a serious purpose in a university Interactivation Laboratory, you can be part of this installations playful journey of development.

WORKSHOP: Star Gazing!

This challenging workshop will introduce you to the genre of performing for camera. With inspiration from the Earth to the Universe and Space exhibitions. create your own documentary looking at star gazers, who ever or what ever that might entail. WORKSHOP: Spaceworld

Cost: $185 for 2 full days
In 20-30 years time NASA plans to have humans land on Mars. Last year, snow was found on Mars. Let’s go to Mars, at least in our dreams and imaginations and further satisfy our insatiable quest for more knowledge and information about the mysteries of space and human space travel.
