Cogs' corner: The Samurai creed

I make the sky and the earth my parents.
I make meditation my home.
I make truthfulness my divine power.
I make modesty my riches.
I make personality my magic power.
I make the universe my life and death.

I make patience my body.
I make the lightning my eyes.
I make emotions my ears.
I make quickness my limbs.
I make self-defence my law.

I make intelligence my talent.
I make my mind my friend.
I make incautiousness my enemy.
I make kindness my armour.
I make stability of mind my castle.
I make focused action my sword.
